Every bride wants to look gorgeous for her wedding day and she wants beautiful wedding portraits to match! For many women, their wedding day is one of the most special days of their lives and is the culmination of many of their dreams since childhood. Often months will be spent in preparation choosing the right wedding dress, the right location, the right decorations, the right music, and the right venue. For such an important wedding day, the engagement photos, bridal portraits, wedding portraits, and family portraits, should be as beautiful as possible so that the bride, groom, and family members can look back in time and remember how wonderful a day it was! As such it is important to choose the right wedding photographer; the one who will capture your dreams, the love between your new husband, and the happiness of family members on both sides of the family.

I am a wedding photographer, and specifically a Virginia Beach Wedding photographer who values the emphasis that brides place in their wedding day and I do my very best to fully capture the joy and happiness of your wedding day. Whether this means doing beach wedding photography or even photography in a small church, I tailor my methods to meet the effort you put into making your wedding special! The photos here give a good example of how I do my work. In these bridal portraits, for every pose and background I considered what the bride wanted to convey in her photos. In some cases that was elegance like in the photo of the bride with an umbrella. I purposefully posed her in this way to emphasize the classical elegance of her dress, complexion, and form. I chose the colonial era background to give beautiful contrast against her dress and to give the entire portrait a classical feel!

In one of the photos, I chose to place a focus the bride's beauty and dress by having her sit down on some stairs and draping her dress over the steps. The marble steps complement the bride's dress and bring out the bride's complexion while the door at the top and greenery on the sides cause the eye to be naturally drawn directly to her so that you can see how lovely she is in her dress! And this makes sense, doesn't it? The bride's beauty should be the center of everybody's attention!

Some brides really love warm colors in their bridal portraits. Accordingly, in one portrait I chose a background of red-barked trees. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but in the end it was lovely! The warm red and browns of the trees give the entire portrait a feeling that love is in the air and that the bride is overflowing with happiness. I had her pose with a happy gaze off to the side so that more of her beautiful face could be seen and so that you could better see her gorgeous dark hair and eyes!

As a professional photographer, I always work with my clients to try and capture exactly the feelings they want in their wedding photos and portraits. This is my passion and I am greatly satisfied when my clients are happy with their photos!
